Daddy, Why Aren’t We Rich? A Stock Trader’s Story

One Saturday morning, while he what does a real estate agent need to list my house was sitting at his computer studying the market, David’s 7 year old daughter came up, tugged at his shirt sleeve, and said, “Daddy, why aren’t we rich?”

He looked at his daughter, and asked, “What makes you think we aren’t rich, sweetheart?”

She looked at him sternly and said, “Because you said that if we were rich, you and mom wouldn’t have to go to work any more, and you both still work all the time.

You said we could live near the beach and play in the sand every day. I want to know what you are doing about that. When can we go and live at the beach?”

There’s nothing like a child to cut straight to the heart of the problem - and what was he doing about it?

“We’re not rich because daddy made some mistakes,” he finally answered.

“What kind of mistakes, daddy?” she asked.

“Well, I bought some shares that were going down and then didn’t sell them soon enough. Then I bought some houses but sold them again just before they went up in price.”

“Why did you do that?” she asked.

He had to think long and hard about that. He had no reason to buy shares that were Автовидеотехника going down in the first place. He had no reason to hold on to them when they kept going down. He had no reason to sell the properties either, come to think of it.

Her logic was flawless – why wasn’t he doing better financially than he was?

He knew in that moment that he had to change his strategy.

Transmission: Automatic to Manual Conversion

When I purchased my EG4 Civic hatchback in 1998, I loved everything about it, the body interior and engine were all in excellent condition. However, there was one thing that I would not have chosen: the automatic transmission. The original engine was a JDM D15B SOHC VTEC, rated at a respectable 130 p.s. especially for a 1500 cc!

So I started my research on the net to find out my options with respect to getting the car converted to manual transmission. In my search, I discovered Eric’s B16A site and the Hybrid site among others. So I began to think, why go through the trouble of Аудиотехника changing the transmission on the 1500, might as well go for it an put in a DOHC 1600cc VTEC and gain 40 hp in the process! I considered a B18C but those engines are rare and expensive in Trinidad. In any case the JDM second generation B16A puts out the same horsepower, with a bit less torque. From what I had learned on the Internet I knew the engine would fit fine. Also because my car originally came with a VTEC engine, I knew that the wiring would not be very difficult.

I read as much as I could find on swaps, and tried to plan the operation to the best of my ability. Let me point out, that there is no substitute for good information, so if you are planning any sort of hybrid, read as much as you can BEFORE you start; web sites, FAQs, articles, magazines, whatever. I chose to have a local shop with considerable Honda experience do the work and I was able to locate the engine from a local importer.

MY MISTAKE I knew that it would be best to purchase the engine and accessories as a package, and that’s just what I did. But I focussed on the big items, Engine, Y21 LSD trany, ECU, Complete engine wire harness, axles, and in so doing, I did not even realize that the engine did not have the mounts! (No AC unit either!) Now although In my country we have quite a brisk trake in JDM parts, some things are almost impossible to get, like mounts!

Relief From Cabin Fever

During the long winter months or on rainy days your child may suffer from cabin fever! You know the symptoms: feeling isolated, restless and easily agitated. Here are some easy ideas to keep it from infecting your tot and to help his development too:

Read, read, read!

Ignite imagination

Young children love dressing up and pretending. Offer your tot a basket with old clothing, hats, shoes, jewelry, etc., and it may be just the nudge needed for self-entertainment.

Create artwork

Use crayons, markers, paper, chalk and chalkboard to get those creative juices flowing. For toddlers, avoid coloring books and demands to “Color inside the lines.” Instead encourage creative drawings. Speed-up Your Sales Cycle

Seven Ways to Enhance Organizational Culture

As a young employee I was transferred to work in an office tower in charming accommodation in florence downtown San Francisco. I wasn’t the only person to arrive in this new office space – the group had changed significantly due to reorganization and many of us were working together for the commercial real estate mortgages loans arizona first time.

Five Ways to Increase Your Website Conversion Rate

Though it’s wonderful to get all those hits to your e-commerce web site, hits don’t mean much unless you convert them into sales. This is especially true if you are paying for, and not converting, clicks.

If your website is suffering from the “Conversion Rate Blues”, consider the following steps for improving sales and ultimately, profits:

1. Make sure your website is optimized to attract people with the highest potential to buy

When I first designed my log furniture website, Log Cabin Rustics, I unwittingly targeted an audience that wasn’t the perfect one for my site. As things turned out, I didn’t even rank for my two top key phrases, log furniture Газовые независимые духовые шкафы and log beds, in the search engines. I managed to get pretty high on the scale, however, for log cabin related searches.

People who build log cabins are a target market of mine, since many of them eventually purchase log furniture to go with their home. The most likely immediate customers, however, are those who actually searched for the term “log furniture” rather than “log cabin”. When I re-optimized my site for the search terms I thought would bring the highest conversion rate, visitors to my site were more likely to buy because my site was selling what they were searching for. My efforts paid off, when my conversion rate (and Кофеварки sales) doubled in the month or two following my changes.

2. Add a personal, trustworthy touch to your site

I don’t personally care to have my picture posted on the front of my website, although many people do. I do have my name prominently on the site, together with information about why I sell log furniture and my business background as a CPA. I have found that a personal touch goes a long way towards selling log furniture. Many of my customers spend $2,000, $3,000 or even $4,000 on their log furniture order, and some of them have waited years to get the furniture they want.

They didn’t find what they wanted in their local area (they must not have many white cedar trees in Texas), but they found it on my site. There’s just one problem, however. They wish they could touch the furniture, slide the drawers in and out, look for drips in the finish, and generally evaluate the quality before the drop that kind of money. I have had people drive 4-6 hours on more than one occasion for that very reason, and frankly, I don’t blame them. I’m pretty picky about my furniture too. This is where I can help real estate disclosure forms my customers. I use primarily local suppliers, and finished furniture that I sell is finished right in our building. I can and do inspect much of the furniture before it goes out. Our finishing department does a pretty good job, but if I see something I don’t like, I have them sand it down and get it right.
