He decided he would never again sell a property unless there was a compelling reason to do so.

He decided that he would no longer accept anything less than perfect execution of his stock trading plan.

He decided that he would take every trade entry signal his system gave him and follow his trading plan as if his life depended on it.

As if, after each trade was closed out, he had to stand in front of a panel of super traders, and explain his actions to them - why he entered where he did, where he placed his stop losses, why he exited when he did.

And if they weren’t convinced he followed the rules of successful trading, he would be taken out and shot!

That was the last time he ever got out of a trade based on his emotions. His fear of the market was gone - thanks to some simple questions from a 7 year old…

When I purchased my EG4 Civic hatchback in 1998, I loved everything about it, the body interior and engine were all in excellent condition. However, there was one thing that I would not have chosen: the automatic transmission. The original engine was a JDM D15B SOHC VTEC, rated at a respectable 130 p.s. especially for a 1500 cc!

So I started my research on the net to find out my options with respect to getting the car converted to manual transmission. In my search, I discovered Eric’s B16A site and the Hybrid site among others. So I began to think, why go through the trouble of Аудиотехника changing the transmission on the 1500, might as well go for it an put in a DOHC 1600cc VTEC and gain 40 hp in the process! I considered a B18C but those engines are rare and expensive in Trinidad. In any case the JDM second generation B16A puts out the same horsepower, with a bit less torque. From what I had learned on the Internet I knew the engine would fit fine. Also because my car originally came with a VTEC engine, I knew that the wiring would not be very difficult.

I read as much as I could find on swaps, and tried to plan the operation to the best of my ability. Let me point out, that there is no substitute for good information, so if you are planning any sort of hybrid, read as much as you can BEFORE you start; web sites, FAQs, articles, magazines, whatever. I chose to have a local shop with considerable Honda experience do the work and I was able to locate the engine from a local importer.

MY MISTAKE I knew that it would be best to purchase the engine and accessories as a package, and that’s just what I did. But I focussed on the big items, Engine, Y21 LSD trany, ECU, Complete engine wire harness, axles, and in so doing, I did not even realize that the engine did not have the mounts! (No AC unit either!) Now although In my country we have quite a brisk trake in JDM parts, some things are almost impossible to get, like mounts!

The solution? Alter the original
D15B mounts to fit. That mistake made a project that would have taken a little less than two weeks, last five weeks. You could imagine how my wife loved me for this!

STARTING UP The mounts took a really long time to complete, plus as you would expect, my car wasn’t the only one in the shop! Anyway, it turns out that the rear (center) engine mount could Холодильники для вина be used on the B16A. I was able to get a front transmission mount, leaving three mounts to be custom adjusted. By the way the lower front engine mount / ac bracket on the B series motor is totally different to the D series mounts so I fabricated an adapter flange to accept my old AC unit. (No way did I have intentions of buying an AC).

After the mounts were adjusted and the engine was in the proper place, the axle hardware was mounted in a jiffy, and necessary fluids and hoses were connected. All the electricals plugged right in, including the new computer. The only difference was the D series motor had the MAP sensor fixed on the Throttle Body, so a remote unit was added for the new engine. The engine fired up, no problems. By the way, you guys should hear what the beast sounds like with only the tri-y headers! Since the headers were longer than the original, I had to adjust the length of the exhaust pipe so that it could bolt to the headers

DETAILS

Electrical Now the Automatic Specific facts. Remove the Automatic Gear Lever and toss it! There is a plastic slider underneath which is connected to the car’s harness. This slider should be set to the PARK position and locked there by some means. The guys at the shop put a big blob of silicone sealant over mine. This is necessary if you plan to take your key out of the ignition after you drive!! When these wires are shorted they activate the reverse lights and chime. (At least my car has a reverse chime). My advice is to find the reverse sensor on the transmission, trace them to the connection junction on the right side of the engine bay, then run a pair of wires from the reverse sensor leads to the plastic slider. Voila! Your reverse lights will work fine.

I had to add a knock sensor wire and an O2 sensor wire as detailed on the Hybrid Site. However, I still got a code holiday reports on accommodation 23 after driving the car for a few minutes. Then it occurred to me, that the computer still thought the car was automatic. Now, I really tried to find the Transmission Control Module but for the life of me I couldn’t. Maybe you have to remove holiday reports on accommodation the dash of something extreme. Anyway, with the help of a B16A2 wiring diagram from my friend Christian in Austria, I was able to identify the ECU leads that were no longer needed. Just cut the leads and tape’em up! The first four are the TCM leads; the other two go to AT sensors for which I don’t have the German translation

I found that my car did not have any mounting holes for the shift linkage. This is good in a way, as you get to choose where the shifter will lie. I used a CRX shifter in my application and just bolted it on through the sheet metal in the floor arch. Depending on the linkage you use, and the plastic moldings that you choose to put over the shifter, some adjustment of the linkage length may be necessary.

THE RESULT The car works beautifully and is a joy to drive. Every feature and sensor is operational. Since I kept the original AT housing around the shifter I did not loose one of my favorite features of the car; the fold in cup holder! The shifter boot is custom made from Italian leather. I also got the white faced gauges with the deal!

I would really advise against swapping in the other direction though since all the car’s wiring behind the firewall would have to be changed in order to get a fully functional (all features working) automatic.

How times have changed! There is internet lingo that puzzles me. Actually, it’s downright confusing. I hear terms bantered about such as ASP, Baud, CATP, and MUD to name a few, so I decided to look up some of these terms using the various internet resources available. It became obvious to me that I will never be an upper level website designer or a website designer at all for that matter. I leave that to you technical gurus. Being someone who is set in my ways (that’s part of what a curmudgeoness is), I have definite ideas as to what computer words, acronyms, and initializations should mean rather than their actual technical meaning.

Cited below are ten examples as to why I have computer lingo dysfunction - the first paragraph is my version of the word, the second paragraph is the correct version:

1. Applet: Reminds me of a small apple. My mother always said, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away”. Sometimes I can’t eat a whole apple so I figure if you can’t eat a whole apple, then an applet will do. Net lingo states that an Бойлеры applet is a small Java program that can be embedded in an HTML page. I’m really confused. 2. Archie: Used to be a comic strip character in the 1950s and is later associated with the bigoted, irascible main character, Archie Bunker in the TV sitcom, All In The Family. I loved my Archie comic books. My mother used to get mad at me for leaving them strewn all over my bedroom floor.

According to my internet resource, Archie is software used for finding files stored on anonymous FTP sites. Sounds pretty sneaky to me…getting into anonymous sites…kind of like my mother sneaking into my room while checking out my comic book stash. 4. Atom: I know it as a source of vast potential energy. Atoms used to be split (for all I know they still are). They were used to make bombs during WW II. Not a pleasant thought, but true. Sometimes I want to drop a bomb on my computer when I can’t get it to do what I want it to do. I did just fine with my old Smith-Corona electric typewriter.

In internet language an atom is evolving protocol for syndication and sharing of content (whatever that means).

5. Backbone: My vertebrae that are housed in my spinal column which keep me walking upright. Without it I would fold over into my lower extremities. My mother always told me, “Keep your backbone straight. It’s good for your posture.” She continues to tell me that people need “backbone” in order to survive life’s difficult challenges…to be brave in the face of fear.

My internet resource tells me that backbone refers to a high-speed line or series of connections forming a major pathway within a network. I guess that’s how our spinal column works…a pathway within a network.

6. Baud: Reminds me of bawdy. In high school we used to refer to naughty girls as “bawd babes”. In computer land we can refer to them as “baud babes”. I am glad I wasn’t one, but they always looked like they were having more fun than me. Being a teenage girl was tough and still is.

Come to find out, baud is the number of times per second that the carrier signal shifts value. For example a 1200 bit-per-second modem actually runs at 300 baud, but it moves 4 bits per baud. Imagine that! I was never good at math.

7. BIT: Something you put in a horse’s mouth to control the animal…if the horse lets you.

Computer talk states that BIT means binary digit, which is the smallest unit of computerized data. Why don’t they call it BD for binary digit instead of BIT? No wonder I get confused with this lingo.

8. CATP: This is what my cat does in his litter box.

It actually means Caffeine Access Transport Телевизоры Protocol, a common method of moving caffeine across Wide Area Networks such as the Internet. Huh?! How does a person move caffeine across the internet? Must be through a Java program.

9. Cookie: One of my favorite things to eat with a tall glass of cold milk, tea or caffeine a.k.a. java. Home-baked chocolate chip cookies are my favorite.

Internet resources tell me that a cookie is a piece of information sent by a web server to a web browser. Yesterday I needed to get out to the barn ASP before it rained. We Мини-АТС were supposed to have a thunder and lightening storm. After that I showered and had cookies with a tall glass of cold milk. Oh, by the way, it just started thundering and lightening outside. I made it back from the barn just in time. The thunder sounds like, (you guessed it), an atom bomb exploding.

Transmission: Automatic to Manual Conversion

When I purchased my EG4 Civic hatchback in 1998, I loved everything about it, the body interior and engine were all in excellent condition. However, there was one thing that I would not have chosen: the automatic transmission. The original engine was a JDM D15B SOHC VTEC, rated at a respectable 130 p.s. especially for a 1500 cc!

So I started my research on the net to find out my options with respect to getting the car converted to manual transmission. In my search, I discovered Eric’s B16A site and the Hybrid site among others. So I began to think, why go through the trouble of Аудиотехника changing the transmission on the 1500, might as well go for it an put in a DOHC 1600cc VTEC and gain 40 hp in the process! I considered a B18C but those engines are rare and expensive in Trinidad. In any case the JDM second generation B16A puts out the same horsepower, with a bit less torque. From what I had learned on the Internet I knew the engine would fit fine. Also because my car originally came with a VTEC engine, I knew that the wiring would not be very difficult.

I read as much as I could find on swaps, and tried to plan the operation to the best of my ability. Let me point out, that there is no substitute for good information, so if you are planning any sort of hybrid, read as much as you can BEFORE you start; web sites, FAQs, articles, magazines, whatever. I chose to have a local shop with considerable Honda experience do the work and I was able to locate the engine from a local importer.

MY MISTAKE I knew that it would be best to purchase the engine and accessories as a package, and that’s just what I did. But I focussed on the big items, Engine, Y21 LSD trany, ECU, Complete engine wire harness, axles, and in so doing, I did not even realize that the engine did not have the mounts! (No AC unit either!) Now although In my country we have quite a brisk trake in JDM parts, some things are almost impossible to get, like mounts!

The solution? Alter the original

Banjo lessons are a lot tougher than I thought. I’d been taking these online banjo lessons for months now – you know, downloading videos of this guy strumming his banjo and trying to follow along, stroking that banjo to my heart’s content – but when my first actual, person-to-person banjo lesson came, I felt like I was all thumbs. It was a disaster.

I admit that I was a bit of a slacker following those downloaded video lessons, mostly doing only the lessons and the СВЧ мультифункциональные songs that interested me and skipping the rest. But still, I actually thought I was making great progress. Then I had to take those real lessons and all my illusions Эпиляторы were shattered.

I was really and thoroughly disappointed with my first actual banjo lesson. Maybe it was because I was
trying to show off and display to my instructor my ‘hard-earned’ banjo-playing skills. Or maybe I was nervous. Admittedly, I have absolutely zero experience in musical instruments and this was the first time I actually played for someone. Just the thought of playing in front of my banjo instructor still rattles me. Now, I’m puzzled as to how I can actually learn anything from my banjo lessons if I can’t even play in front of my teacher. And yet, I have to ask myself, will I sound any differently when my next lesson comes around?

Net Lingo: Huh!?

How times have changed! There is internet lingo that puzzles me. Actually, it’s downright confusing. I hear terms bantered about such as ASP, Baud, CATP, and MUD to name a few, so I decided to look up some of these terms using the various internet resources available. It became obvious to me that I will never be an upper level website designer or a website designer at all for that matter. I leave that to you technical gurus. Being someone who is set in my ways (that’s part of what a curmudgeoness is), I have definite ideas as to what computer words, acronyms, and initializations should mean rather than their actual technical meaning.

Cited below are ten examples as to why I have computer lingo dysfunction - the first paragraph is my version of the word, the second paragraph is the correct version:

1. Applet: Reminds me of a small apple. My mother always said, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away”. Sometimes I can’t eat a whole apple so I figure if you can’t eat a whole apple, then an applet will do. Net lingo states that an Бойлеры applet is a small Java program that can be embedded in an HTML page. I’m really confused. I thought Java meant “coffee”. orange county va real estate listings I think I need another cup.

2. Archie: Used to be a comic strip character in the 1950s and is later associated with the bigoted, irascible main character, Archie Bunker in the TV sitcom, All In The Family. I loved my Archie comic books. My mother used to get mad at me for leaving them strewn all over my bedroom floor.

According to my internet resource, Archie is software used for finding files stored on anonymous FTP sites. Sounds pretty sneaky to me…getting into anonymous sites…kind of like my mother sneaking into my room while checking out my comic book stash. I wish I could have stored my comic books on a site rather than Компьютерная периферия my bedroom floor, and then I wouldn’t have been in as much trouble with my mother.
